This gig started out as a couple of nights during the Edinburgh Jazz Festival and was an interesting one. The brief was to provide a sophisticated blend of jazz that will appeal to the non Jazz listener.
Kevin Dorrian and I booked singer Debbie Davis to do the first two and it was obvious that she was ideal for this gig – she has a great voice and does exactly the kind of music that goes down well here.
We want the gig to appeal to people who apprecaite live music but don’t want it to be too loud and frenetic. So far we have been there every week since July and I am hoping that the gig will continue.
We have a number of muso friends who have come to join the band and help us provide the ambience that the hotel is looking for.
We play on Friday nights between 8pm and 11.30 – come on in!
